Morning tea at Sergeant's Mess provides expansive views of Sydney Harbor.

The SYRINGOMYELIA 2013 international conference is underway in Sydney, Australia. The intensive meeting has been organized by Co-Chairs:

Approximately 70 participants from throughout the world were present for the first day sessions:

    1. Chiari Malformation and Syringomyelia
    2. Pathophysiolgy 1: Chiari
    3. Clinical Features and Treatment of Syringomyelia
    4. Imaging and Treatment of Syringomyelia

    With more than 20 presentations, it is difficult to summarize or feature specific talks. Together, they formed an intercalated network of research, technique, and opinion representing the current art and science of Chiari & syringomyelia medicine. The outcome at the end of the day: stimulation of new thinking, debates of varying points of view, and laying the groundwork for collaboration and new research.
